Step 1, Home
As we have said, the Hammam is a moment of relaxation, body care and both individual and collective pleasure.
This privileged moment, often weekly, begins in the right Hammams, from the start:
Warm and relaxed welcome, soft music in the reception and undressing room.
Stage 2, elimination of toxins
You go into the hot room to sweat and eliminate toxins.
Step 3, exfoliation
Then you go into the lukewarm room to coat yourself with black or green soap that is penetrated by massaging vigorously (this step can be done with the help of a person).
A few minutes break in the hot room then rinse with lukewarm water.
Then, using a moist kessa exfoliating glove, we rub (or someone rubs us) the body vigorously in order to eliminate dead skin.
Rinse a second time with lukewarm water.
Following this exfoliation, we can insist on the hard zones by using the bodyscrub, which then allows to soften heels, elbows etc…
Step 4, the Ghassoul wrap
This is the final stage of the Hammam for deep body cleansing.
For about fifteen minutes, the body is enveloped in Ghassoul which absorbs the last impurities from the skin.
Step 5, Nourish your skin
Last phase of the ritual, after a shower, the client dries his skin and coats it with a dry oil that nourishes the skin and leaves it supple and satiny.
This last step can be the subject of a massage, hence the importance of a quality massage oil.
Finally,
Very important in the hammam ritual, the phase of rest in a pleasant room with subdued light, music and green tea.
